FIRST MESSAGE TO FINAL GALLERY
THE EXPERIENCE
THE APPROACH
Most people do not show up to a session already knowing what to do in front of a camera. My process is built with that in mind so that your session feels practical and comfortable before we start shooting.
First off, I do not think good photographs come from making people perform. They usually come from helping someone settle into the session, noticing what already feels true, and giving small adjustments as needed. The goal is not to over-direct the moment. It is to make the photograph feel composed without making it feel false.
Second, I pay attention to the things that change how an image feels: the way the light falls, the background behind someone, the pace of the session, and the small adjustments that help a person look more at ease.
My job for you is to guide where it helps, notice what matters, and create photographs that feel honest, useful, and true to the person or purpose behind them.

THE PROCESS
WHAT TO EXPECT
From the first message to the final gallery, the process is designed to keep the session organized without making it feel overcomplicated. My process is a simple path from inquiry, planning, and shooting to a polished gallery you can actually use. We start by clarifying what the images need to accomplish, then build the session around that purpose.
INQUIRY &
SCHEDULING
STEP 01
Start by sending over the basics: what kind of session you need, where you are located, your general timeframe, and what you want the images to help with. You do not need every detail figured out before reaching out.
CLARIFYING
THE GOAL
STEP 02
Before we plan the shoot, we clarify what the images are for: your business, portraits, social media, website, personal use, or something more specific. From there, we choose the location, timing, clothing direction, and develop a general image list. This gives the session a clear purpose before we ever start shooting.
BOOKING YOUR
SESSION
STEP 03
If everything feels right, I’ll send over a proposal with your custom photography package, contract, and invoice. Once that’s complete, your date is officially secured.
COMMUNICATION
& PREPARATION
STEP 04
Leading up to your session, I'm your resource for timeline guidance, other considerations, and anything else that helps make your session run smoothly. I'll also collaborate with your social media management team or your website manager to make sure everything is covered.
DURING
YOUR SESSION
STEP 05
On session day, I’ll keep the pace steady and give direction where it helps. We’ll work through the images we planned, make adjustments as needed, and leave room for the natural moments that happen along the way.
AFTER
YOUR SESSION
STEP 06
After the session, I review the images and prepare a lightly edited proof gallery for you to look through. This gives you a chance to choose the photographs that feel most useful, natural, and visually strong before the final edits are completed.
EDITING &
FINAL GALLERY
STEP 07
After you choose your final images, I complete the detailed edit for the finished gallery. I’ll then send over the final balance invoice. Once payment is complete, your photographs are delivered online for viewing and easy download.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO
WORK WITH ME
SUPPORT, DIRECTION, AND RELAXED ENOUGH
TO FEEL NATURAL
Working with me is meant to feel clear, steady, and unforced. I like to understand what the photographs are supposed to do before we start, whether they need to support your business, update your portrait, document a milestone, or present a season of life well.
I’ll help shape the session in a way that feels realistic: where we’re shooting, what we’re prioritizing, what details matter, and how to leave enough room for the images to feel natural. I know when to step in with direction, and when to step back so something better can unfold on its own.
Throughout the session, my goal is simple: keep things calm, keep things moving, and help you feel comfortable and like yourself in front of the camera.

FAQ'S
WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHY DO YOU OFFER?
I photograph business, portrait, lifestyle, and milestone sessions. That can include professional portraits, small business content, brand images, personal portraits, family or friend gatherings, graduations, and meaningful everyday moments.
DO YOU HELP WITH POSING AND DIRECTION?
Yes. I give enough direction to help you look comfortable and composed without making the session feel stiff. I’ll help with posture, placement, hands, movement, background, and small details as we go.
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Sessions can take place at a business, office, home, outdoor location, downtown area, event space, golf course, lake, or another setting that fits the purpose of the images. I’m based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and work throughout the surrounding Carolinas.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION USUALLY TAKE?
It depends on the type of session. A simple portrait session may be shorter, while a business or lifestyle session may need more time for multiple looks, locations, or image types. The planning conversation helps determine what makes sense.
HOW ARE THE PHOTOS DELIVERED?
Final images are delivered through an online gallery for easy viewing and downloading. Depending on the session, images can be prepared for personal use, websites, social media, business profiles, marketing material, or print.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
I’m based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and regularly consider projects around York County, Fort Mill, Charlotte, and the surrounding Carolinas. For projects farther away, travel can be discussed during inquiry.
CAN BUSINESSES USE THE PHOTOS FOR MARKETING?
Yes. Business and personal brand sessions are planned with practical use in mind. That can include your website, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business Profile, email marketing, brochures, team pages, or future content.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Simple, clean, and comfortable usually works best. I include a post on my Guides page that discusses wardrobe during a shoot. I can help with specific outfit direction during planning.
DO I NEED OT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT BEFORE REACHING OUT?
No. A general idea is enough to start. You can tell me what you are trying to accomplish, and I’ll help shape the session around the images that would be most useful.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH EVENTS?
I photograph selected small events and milestone gatherings. My focus is not large-scale event production. It is personal, useful, well-composed coverage of moments, people, setting, and atmosphere.
DO YOU OFFER VIDEO?
I primarily do photography, but video may be available for select business or brand projects. For most inquiries, the best place to start is with what you need the final images or media to accomplish.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I REACH OUT?
The earlier the better, especially for business sessions, milestones, or dates tied to an event. For simpler portrait sessions, shorter notice may be possible depending on availability.
